I've kicked things off with a few times doing approx 4 to 6 laps with each cars. Not sure if the FWDs have much of an advantage around here. Remember I'm on a pad so certain cars suit me better, such as the Huracan. I was suprised at the Evo, first time I've driven it, only 5 gears but quick.

Feel free to post your times as & when you can.
We need an overall picture of what pace the cars have. If we have to remove a few of the fastest & slowest to keep a close field then so be it.

What I did was three laps only as I felt that was enough to get a time yes more laps I would have got quicker but felt it would be fine as a measurement.

  5. You could have at least put them in order from fastest to slowest Nige, look how much work you've created for poor old Bruce now...
    Honestly, some people...

    Good work Nige.
I'd do the same happily but I'm not up to speed on the pad!

    Updated, phew !

As you can probably see, already the Alfa 4C is way off the pace with 2.11s / 2.12's. Average times are approx 2.06's / 2.07's. A few of us have dipped into the 2.05's with certain cars. FWD cars are not as quick as I expected around here. A few cars in the 2.08's (Jag / Lexus / McLaren) which are dragging their heels as well.

Ideally, if we can get 3 lap times per car, that will be enough to give us an idea, so if members could pick cars with this in mind that would be great.

Apologies Bruce, only just seen this.

I'll get a few times together over the coming days. Strange about the FF cars though, they still seem to go well at other circuits. At least in Sport mode anyway.

Update 1.11 has brought a few BOP Adjustments to Group 4

    Gr.4 Class
    ・Audi TT cup'16 [Power Ratio : 104% > 103%]
    ・BMW M4 Gr.4 [Power Ratio : 100% > 99%]
    ・Jaguar F-type Gr.4 [Weight Reduction Ratio: 107% > 106%]
    ・Lexus RC F Gr.4 [Power Ratio : 100% > 98%]
    ・McLaren 650S Gr.4 [Weight Reduction Ratio: 112% > 111%]
    ・Renault Sport Mégane Gr.4 [Power Ratio : 100% > 99%]
    ・Volkswagen Scirocco Gr.4 [Power Ratio : 92% > 91%]

The way I'm reading this, the Audi / M4 / Lexus / Megane / Scirocco (or Golf as Carl calls it) all have a power reduction
The Jag / McLaren have weight reductions.

As I've said in another thread, if we can get small competetive groups of approx 4 to 6 cars to run closely, that would be great as I think mixed racing does give a bit of variety, in the meantime back to testing

It really is horses for courses. The FF cars days are numbered it seems and this has opened the doors for other makes. Last night everyone went for the SMG on the tight oval, nothing could get near them. Meanwhile on Tokyo Express way the car of choice was the Aston Gr.4. Not a single Megan in sight. However, the night before everyone and his dog was out in one around Suzuka. Me included!

My approach to this class was to have cars with the same drive train. Just seemed like a logical place to start. There will always be a favoured car and the dog in the pack. But maybe we could use that to the clubs advantage as a ready made handicap system. The faster lads get the slower cars.

  17. Where do we go with this now the update has adjusted a number of cars?
Do you still want these tested Bruce?
I'm not around tonight, Mrs is out on the lash tonight so she may well be heading for an early night on sunday, as the race entry is full I'll spend some time with these if I can get on.

Please join in on Sunday if you can Jim, Zebs a non starter so would be good to see you.

As for this testing, if every update is going to change BOP, plus tweak a few things then we have an uphill struggle so we put this on hold I think.

I agree Bruce it' a farce apart from picking 2 cars with no bop and getting them as close as possible

I'm not too bothered, so long as we keep getting free cars and tracks I'm happy. Overall PD are only trying to improve things so we'll have a better game long term.
