Guide to corner and chicane etiquette

    Basic guide to corner and chicane etiquette

    When fighting for a corner we are limited to our surroundings, even with the radar we don't normally have that split second to watch it.

    Here are examples of what you should do if lose sight of the car your are battling with.

    The chicane
    This image shows the potential of collision at the apex's when racing for the fastest line, once you have good awareness you can race close to the racing line.

    The safest way to navigate would be to follow a more exaggerated line like on a scalextric track. If your unsure or less confident reduce your speed slightly and follow this method for a corner.

    The Corner

    Again the image below shows the areas where contact is possible.

    Same as before allow space for cars but adjust you exit to allow a safe and fair battle.

    As always this is open for discussion before it's set in stone.
